Letters To My Husband

Hello Lovelies,

In the quiet moments of my single season, there's a sweetness in knowing that while I pray for my future husband, he's also praying for me. It's a beautiful exchange of faith and trust in God's timing and provision as He prepares us for each other.

We may not know who the other person is yet, but we have a clear vision of the kind of Godly relationship we desire, shaped by lessons learned from past experiences and growth in our personal relationship with God.

Recently, I purchased a journal titled "Letters to My Husband" from Her Promise Circle, a community dedicated to empowering women in every aspect of their lives. In this journal, I pour out prayers, write letters, and document the little moments of my life, knowing that one day it will serve as a precious gift to my future husband.

Being intentional about prayer during my single season fills me with excitement and anticipation. It's a reminder of the importance of trusting God's timing and His plans for our lives.

Ladies, are we intentional about praying for our future husbands? What qualities are we seeking in them? Let me share one of my prayers with you:

"Dear God,

Please give my Future Husband the strength to be a man after Your own heart. Help him love You with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength, building a firm foundation for his life. Grant him the strength to remain physically and emotionally pure, resisting sexual temptation and old habits.

May he be the spiritual leader of our future family, seeking Your will and guidance in all things. Help him to love and respect me as Christ loves me, and to see me as the treasure that I am. Grant him patience as he waits for me, and the wisdom to make wise choices for our future together.

Lord, help my Future Husband to be a prayer warrior, realizing the importance of prayer in our lives. Strengthen him in his spiritual walk, especially in difficult times. Make him a hard-worker, with a heart for our future children, teaching them to follow Jesus with their lives.

May he be encouraging and edifying to everyone he meets, and always mindful of growing Your Kingdom by sharing the Gospel with others.

Whoever he is, wherever he is, thank You for him.

In Jesus' name, Amen."

As I continue to pray and trust in God's plan, I'm filled with hope and anticipation for the beautiful future He has in store for us. Lord knows being patient is not easy, but God I trust You.

With Love,

Jadesha M. Hair
