Thriving In 2025

Hello Lovelies,

At the end of this 2024, on New Year Eve night, my pastor delivered a powerful sermon titled “How to Thrive in 25,” offering three actionable steps to live a fulfilling and faith-centered life in 2025. These principles, drawn from Psalm 1:1-3, have deeply resonated with me, and I’m excited to share how I’ve been applying them in my life.

1. Sanitize Your Circle

Psalm 1 warns us about walking in the counsel of the wicked. My pastor encouraged us to evaluate our circles carefully. This year, I’m intentionally asking God to reveal who should journey with me and who I need to set boundaries with. It’s not always about cutting people off but knowing who might plant seeds that hinder growth. I worked too hard on myself in 2024 and continuing to work on myself to backtrack.

There are three categories of relationships to consider:

  • Cut: For those who knew the old me but no longer align with my growth in Christ.

  • Talk to: For relationships that need honest conversations to mend or clarify.

  • Connect more: For those who uplift and point me closer to God.

This process hasn’t been easy, but it’s necessary. God’s kindness shines through in how He’s made things clear—even when it’s difficult. I’m prioritizing friendships that build me up spiritually while continuing to pray for others from a distance.

2. Refocus Your Routine

Revelation 2:4 reminds us not to abandon our first love. In the latter half of 2024, I made a commitment to give Sundays back to God. Whether through attending church, serving, or simply resting in His promises, I’ve learned the importance of setting aside sacred time for Him. This year, I’m continuing to  double down on this routine and extending it throughout the week by spending time in prayer and scripture daily. My hiding place has become a source of peace and strength.

3. Stabilize Your Stance

Life’s challenges are inevitable, but thriving in 2025 means being unshakable. My walk with Christ is personal and firm. Stress doesn’t have the same grip on me because I’m rooted in His Word. Romans 8:28 and Isaiah 55:8-9 remind me that His ways are higher than mine, and all things work for my good. No matter the circumstances, I’m planted and steadfast.

Setting 2025 Goals with Intention

During another sermon, my pastor guided us on setting goals for the year in three categories:

1. Faith Goals

These are the big, bold prayers—the ones only God can answer. Think beyond what’s humanly possible and ask God for the miraculous. This year, I’m believing God for deeper relationships, family healing, and personal growth in discipline and patience.

2. Habit Goals

These focus on the new behaviors that reflect who I’m becoming in Christ. For me, this includes exercising regularly, staying consistent in prayer and Bible reading, and nurturing friendships. I’m also prioritizing self-care, rest, and saving consistently.

3. Achievement Goals

These are tangible milestones I want to accomplish. From improving my health to advancing my businesses, I’m trusting God to guide my steps as I remain diligent and faithful in the process.

Thriving Together

As I’ve reflected on these principles and goals, I’ve realized thriving isn’t just about personal success but about living in alignment with God’s will. Let’s make 2025 a year of growth, faith, and flourishing together!

With Love,

Jadesha M. Hair
